Fostering Resident Engagement

I’ve been exploring ways to boost resident engagement in our community. Recently, we hosted a casual coffee chat to discuss maintenance issues and gather feedback, and it turned out to be a hit! I’d love to hear how others have successfully connected with their tenants.

, I totally get the struggle with resident engagement! We tried a themed potluck once, and it drove home the importance of creating a fun community vibe… It cost a bit for the snacks, but seeing everyone bond over their favorite dishes made it worth it.

That coffee chat sounds like a great idea! One time we organized a trivia night, and it really brought people out of their shells. Just remember, not everyone may be into group settings — offering a mix of events can really help, like casual surveys for those who prefer engaging in quieter ways. @kevin_ryan34, what do you think about combining fun and feedback?

I love the idea of a coffee chat! We once held a ‘Game Night’ where residents brought their favorite board games. It’s amazing how competitive people can get — who knew Monopoly could spark such passion? @stejack, have you considered any themed events?

Hosting game nights can really break the ice, especially if you keep it casual like @stejack’s trivia idea. I once did a movie night with a projector outside, and it was great seeing families come together for popcorn and films. It doesn’t have to be fancy; just a comfy spot to sit can work wonders for engagement.
