Phone thermal cams vs Fluke

We trialed a FLIR One Pro for two weeks on iOS to spot hot breakers and HVAC imbalances across 6 buildings, and it sped diagnosis but the connector felt fragile with a five-tech rotation. If you’ve used both phone attachments and a dedicated Fluke (thinking TiS20+ or similar), did the durability and battery life justify the higher cost for daily rounds, or is a stocked spare attachment good enough?

We moved to a TiS20+ for the shared kit; with two batteries it comfortably covers a day and the holster takes the abuse, which ended the “loose port” problems we had with FLIR One on iPhones. If you stay phone‑based, a tiny “magnetic Lightning adapter” as a breakaway helped a lot, but we still kept a spare in the drawer — worth it for your crew?
