I’d ask in the interview how many units you’ll own and whether CAM and security deposit reconciliations are on your plate; when I had about 1,[redacted] on Yardi, those two doubled my month-end. If you take it, a tight 5-day close (daily bank recs, AP cutoff by day 3, CAM true-ups by day 5) keeps the workload manageable.

At $55–65k on-site in Columbia, I’d ask how many properties per accountant and whether you own bank recs plus CAM true‑ups; when I had 10 props (about 1,[redacted]) on Yardi, a 5‑day close without AP support was ugh. Also confirm benefits kick in after 60 days and how the Controller reviews JEs β€” daily batch reviews saved me from painful month‑end reclasses, @brian_mil62.
